Frequently asked questions
Short answers about what AI Prompt Leak Guard does, your privacy, plans and billing, your Plus key and getting help.
The basics
What does AI Prompt Leak Guard do?
It checks what you type into an AI chat, like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, just before you send it. If your message contains something private, such as a password, an Aadhaar or PAN number, a card number or a client's details, it pauses and shows you what it found. You then decide whether to remove it, change it or send anyway.
Who is it for?
Anyone who uses AI chats at work or for personal tasks: consultants, accountants, lawyers, doctors, HR teams, developers, students. If you ever paste real documents or customer details into an AI chat, it is for you.
Which AI chats does it work on?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek and more: 16 AI chat sites in total. Microsoft Copilot, now at copilot.com, is covered from the next update. See the full list on supported sites.
Does it slow down my browser or the AI chat?
No. Checks take a fraction of a second and run only on AI chat pages. Very long prompts are checked in the background so the page stays responsive.
Will it stop me from sending things I need to send?
You stay in control. For most findings you can send once anyway, sometimes after typing a short reason. Marking something as not sensitive is coming in the next update. A few very risky items, like private keys, are blocked by default.
Does it catch everything?
No tool can promise that. It catches 53 kinds of private details and checks numbers like Aadhaar, PAN and card numbers so ordinary numbers are not flagged. It is a safety net, not a replacement for reading what you send.
Privacy
Does anything I type get sent to you?
No. Every check happens inside your browser, on your own computer. Your prompts, the details it finds, the pages you visit and your browsing history are never sent to CandidLoom or to anyone else.
What do you collect?
For the free plan, nothing at all: there is no account. For Plus, our billing service keeps your buyer email, your subscription details, your licence key in a protected form and a random ID for each browser you use it on. See our privacy policy for the full list.
Do you show ads or sell data?
No. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics in the extension or on this website, and we do not sell or share data.
What about details I already sent in an old chat?
Details that already reached an AI chat cannot be pulled back by any tool. When you open an old chat that contains private details, the extension tells you and shows how to delete that chat on that site.
What does the extension remember on my computer?
Your settings and, if you leave it on, a history of counts, like "3 prompts blocked today". It never stores your prompts or the values it found. You can clear the history or turn it off in Settings.
Plans and billing
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Warnings, one-click removal, every built-in check and your own watch words are free, with no account and no time limit.
What does Plus add?
Plus checks Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files before you upload them, adds ready-made presets for finance, developers and client data, and lets you turn each check on or off. One Plus key works on up to 3 browsers. Presets for healthcare, legal and HR, your own patterns and hidden watch words are coming in the next update. See pricing for the side-by-side comparison.
How much does Plus cost?
INR 99 per month, including any applicable tax. One subscription is for one person. There is no setup fee.
How do I pay?
Through Razorpay's secure checkout on our checkout page. Verify your email with a one-time code, then pay. We never see your card details.
Is there a yearly plan?
Not yet. An annual plan is planned for later, and we will announce it on the pricing page first.
How do I cancel?
Open the checkout page, verify your buyer email and choose Cancel at period end under Your subscription. The page shows the date your paid month ends before you confirm. Plus keeps working until then and you are not charged again. Removing the extension does not cancel your subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Your first purchase can be refunded in full if you ask within seven days. Duplicate charges, charges after you cancelled in time, and Plus that we cannot deliver are also refunded. Read the cancellation and refunds policy for the details.
Where do I find my invoice?
Under Your subscription on the checkout page, after you verify your email. The link opens your invoice on Razorpay.
Your Plus key
How do I turn on Plus after paying?
We email you an activation code. Redeem it on the activation page to get your licence key, then paste it in the extension under Settings → Plan → Activation. One-click activation on Chrome and Edge is coming in the next update.
Can I use Plus on more than one browser?
Yes, on up to 3 browsers at a time, for example Chrome at work and Edge at home. Paste the same key in each one. Seeing and removing your browsers in Settings → Plan is coming in the next update.
I lost my licence key. What now?
Choose Request a new activation code in the extension's popup or Settings, or on the activation page. Verify your buyer email and we will email a new code. The new key replaces the old one, and your browsers ask for it.
Do I need to enter the key every month?
No. Enter it once. While your subscription is active, Plus renews by itself.
Setup and help
Which browsers are supported?
Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox.
How do I install it?
Open the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons or Firefox Add-ons page and choose Add. That is all: the free protection starts on supported AI chats straight away.
I typed something private and no warning appeared. Why?
Check the toolbar button first: it says whether the page you are on is protected and, if not, why. Common reasons are a page that needs a reload after installing, or a site that is switched off in Settings. If the site changed its layout, tell us.
Can I pause it for a while?
Coming in the next update: pause protection on a site for 15, 30 or 60 minutes from the warning or the popup. It turns itself back on. Today you can switch a site off in Settings → Sites.
Can I use it on my company's own tools?
Coming in the next update: add any website in Settings → Sites. Your browser asks you to approve access to that site first.
How do I contact you?
Email loomcandid@gmail.com. Describe the problem with made-up examples, never real private details. See contact us for what to include.
