How it decides

Each kind of detail has its own check. Numbers that carry a check digit, such as Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN and card numbers, must pass that check before they are flagged, so dates, prices and order numbers are left alone. Phone numbers are matched against real numbering plans for each country. Some details, like an employee ID, only count when a label such as "Employee ID" is next to them.

When something is found, the notice names it, shows only the last few characters and says why it matters. You choose what happens next.

Your own words

Add client names, project codenames or anything else private in Settings → Interventions → Custom sensitive terms. They are matched as whole words, ignoring capitals, and checked on your device like everything else. Coming in the next update: with Plus you can also store them as hidden fingerprints and add your own patterns, such as internal ticket or invoice numbers.

  • Anything after it has been sent. Details that already reached an AI chat cannot be pulled back.
